After a 12-hour trip with a group of 52, we arrived at Pousada Guaruondas expecting basic comfort and organization. The difficult access made unloading tiring, especially for the children and older guests. The layout of the rooms didn’t work well for a large group, and there weren’t enough outlets to charge our phones. Showers had very low pressure, barely any water, which made bathing uncomfortable. The distance to the beach also wasn’t what the advertising led us to expect. Fans didn’t provide enough relief from the heat, and although the listing said every room had air conditioning and a minibar, some rooms had neither, or the items didn’t work. Wi-Fi was unavailable on the top floor throughout the stay. The pool wasn’t cleaned until the third day, after guests had asked several times. We also had to bring a freezer and stove ourselves, which shouldn’t fall to guests at a pousada that says it accommodates tour groups, particularly after such a long journey. The stay was deeply frustrating and very different from what had been advertised and agreed. The place seemed unprepared for groups, and we wouldn’t recommend it or return.
