The place is beautiful, but I wouldn't recommend it. There was no privacy at all. The owner's daughters spent the day working by the pool with unfriendly expressions, making us feel like intruders or like we were staying as a favor, even though we paid a lot. I went with my son, who had been looking forward to the pool, but the owner's dog lunged at him the first time he tried to get in. We love dogs, but these were intrusive and a nuisance: they barked at us constantly and came into the chalet. We'd planned a peaceful week of vacation, but ended up staying inside because we couldn't use the pool with the dogs around and the owner's daughters there. We also couldn't go to the beach because the road was closed early for construction and only reopened at the end of the day. The owner hadn't told us about that. If you're looking for privacy, especially if you're bringing children, I wouldn't recommend it. There are many other options on Ilha Bela, including better-located ones.

A perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying some time off. From the bedrooms in our chalet, you could hear the waterfall, and being surrounded by nature was lovely. We saw squirrels and birds, and the dogs who live at the main house came by for a visit. A great choice.

The chalets and shared spaces are really pleasant, and the waterfall is practically right outside the door. The kitchen has basic cooking utensils, and nearby markets are easy to reach by car. It's right along the route between the main beaches in the north and south of Ilhabela. Getting in can be a little difficult for compact cars and heavy sedans on rainy days, but it's not impossible.

We've already stayed twice and plan to come again in October. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the chalets are clean, well equipped, cozy, and peaceful.

It's a pretty place, but the chalet doesn't offer much privacy and feels quite damp. The owner's service was just so-so.
