Pousada Hostel Flor do Jambeiro

Reallly good.

Such a cool spot.

Our room allowed dogs. It was older, but spacious, with a kitchen, fridge, stove, living room, and bathroom. The team seemed a bit unprepared. Check-in took a while, there weren’t enough towels for everyone, and they neither replaced the towels nor tidied the room during our stay. We hardly saw staff around to ask for help. Parking was tight, and your car could get blocked in. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a game room and a pool. It’s too far from the center to walk, with hills along the way, though the drive takes about five minutes. The area is residential, with no shops nearby. On our last night, our room lost water, but no one at the inn offered help or a room change. We got a 5% discount at the end of our stay.

The inn has a lot of charm, with a private kitchen and bathroom in the room. The bedding and room were very clean, though the TV was an old tube model. There are rooms you can reach without stairs, so it generally seems accessible, but I couldn’t tell whether the bathrooms are adapted or spacious enough for easier movement. The neighborhood felt a little odd, especially at night, though people seemed friendly when we asked for directions. Breakfast was decent, but we went on a quiet day, so it may not have been typical. The garage only fits a few cars, maybe four.
