Pousada Toque de Minas

The staff are lovely and the price feels very fair. There’s a river behind the property, with chalets and suites to choose from, plus a pool and a fireplace in the chalet. The sheets and towels were spotless. Breakfast had an incredible spread, all made fresh that day or to order, from fruit, cheese and eggs to jams, warm fluffy cakes, sweets, canjica, cheese bread, bolinho de chuva and corn porridge. A must-visit!

The river runs alongside the inn, adding a soothing sound that really settles the mind. The team, led by César and Lúcia, were very attentive. It’s a wonderful place in Visconde de Mauá, with fresh air, a peaceful country feel and a good location. If you’re planning to stay in an inn there, Pousada Toque de Minas is the place.

Lúcia was the standout for us, so warm and attentive. She makes the whole breakfast herself, and it’s all homemade, nothing industrial. They even bring out complimentary coffee in the late afternoon. The river running through the property is another lovely feature. We felt very welcome and had a great stay. There are a few things that could be improved, but nothing that got in the way of a good experience, and the location is good too.

Getting there is easy, and the location is very convenient. The staff were attentive and always willing to help.
