Chalés Riacho Doce

We were six people in chalé Orquídea, which has three bedrooms: two suites with double beds, and a third room with bunk beds and a double bed. There are three bathrooms, one shared and two attached to the suites. The electric showers had good water pressure, though they didn’t get very hot. Towels, bed linens, and soap were provided. The kitchen has utensils, plates, a sandwich maker, microwave, stove, and refrigerator. There’s also fast wi-fi and a flat-screen TV. The chalet was nicely decorated and much better than the photos, a really pleasant surprise. It felt cozy, with a stream close enough to hear while sleeping, and it’s behind the restaurant Sabor e Arte. The guesthouse is a little way from the center, but only 4 km from the Chico Bento parking lot, the starting point for the Pedra do Baú trails. Clean and well cared for, with support from the owners and surrounded by nature, it was great value. I recommend it and plan to return.

The place is beautiful and the chalet was comfortable, but having just one bathroom for 10 people was tough. We also missed the breakfast that used to be included. Since we'd stayed here before, we remembered waking up to a table already set, which felt really special.

I keep coming back. Heloisa and her family make sure everything is spotless so we can enjoy our stay. I hope to return soon.

It's my favorite place. Quiet and cozy, with everything you need for a peaceful few days listening to the birds. The owners are incredibly helpful and share lots of great tips on places to visit.
