The location near the Indo-Bhutan border was very convenient for starting our Bhutan trip. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was decent, though service was just okay. I do wish the washroom had been larger and more modern.

My booking through Agoda was confirmed after I paid for the instant booking discount, and I shared the confirmation with the hotel. The staff then told me Agoda’s rate was NU. 262/- lower than the contract rate the hotel had agreed with them, and said my payment didn’t match that rate. I found this completely pathetic. Customers choose the prices and discounts shown on the site, and shouldn’t have to worry about the hotel’s contract with Agoda. I was traveling and wanted a good experience, but my experience at LHAKI HOTEL was awful. Negative rating, minus 100.
