Thimphu Deluxe

Thimphu Deluxe has a convenient location and beautiful views of the surrounding areas of Thimphu. It offers a peaceful, comfortable setting with modern facilities and warm Bhutanese hospitality. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained, and should suit business and leisure travelers alike. The staff were a highlight, friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. I enjoyed the dining too, with a good choice of local and international dishes. There’s a gym, spa and banquet halls, making the hotel suitable for events, meetings and relaxing. Overall, the service was excellent and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the capital.

This hotel was pathetic. The service was very slow, and the staff barely seemed to work as a team. The food was disheartening because I’d thought it was a good hotel, but it turned out to be the worst. There was a rat in the kitchen, and I also found hairs in my food. I don’t know if anyone considers that acceptable.

I was travelling alone for a business trip and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. My stay was around 10 days, seven days at first, then I came back after a field visit. The rooms were consistently clean, well equipped and maintained. The reception and restaurant staff were professional and kind. The spa was very good too, with a professional masseuse, and the chefs made excellent food. Highly recommend it!

The staff were friendly and flexible when our delegation’s itinerary changed several times. They were understanding about extending our stay and adjusting checkout times. The rooms were large, with big comfortable beds. It’s a little walk from the city center, which is nice if you want to avoid the bustle.
