Hotel Dralha

I traveled to Bhutan with my wife and 3-year-old child on April 11th 2026, and we spent two nights at hotel dralha. We stayed in the service apartment building, in a really spacious room. The lounge had a big sofa, mini fridge, wash basin, electric stove, and chimney. The adjoining bedroom had a double bed, wardrobe, table, and balcony. The washroom, with a WC, was accessible from the lounge. We had booked the room on a map meal plan, so our food was served buffet-style. The service, food, and amenities were all excellent. The hotel is in a peaceful residential community, near a big departmental store for anything you need. I also want to thank Om Nath ji for arranging such a beautiful room at Dralha. He helped arrange rooms in Punakha and Paro through his contacts, too. The Bhutan trip was really memorable.

The food was very tasty and the service was nice. I stayed for 2 days and was very comfortable. The whole staff were good.

After long days of sightseeing, the clean, cozy, well-maintained rooms at Hotel Dralha in Thimphu were a relaxing place to return to. The staff were warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food was decent, though there wasn't much variety. I had a great stay and would recommend Hotel Dralha to anyone visiting Thimphu.

This was the worst stop of my trip, and it was my first hotel. The toilets didn't work, and getting a shower was a gamble: the water was either so hot you could burn yourself or so cold you couldn't shower. The bedsheets were stained and cleanliness was zero. The food was horrible, extremely oily, and tasteless. Don't even try their so-called Indian dishes. The Ema Datchi was more like cheese water. I do have proof in the pictures below. That's Aloo Poha, apparently, and the other picture shows Parantha and some sabhji.
