We had a great week, with friendly service throughout, especially at the restaurant. The rooms were excellent, with comfy beds, plenty of storage, and a strong hot shower. Ours faced the sea, though some extra light at the back would help because it was hard to see there after dark. The pool area was clean and comfortable. Some sun lounger cushions were worn and a few were missing, but it was fine. The free water taxi was handy: they picked us up at the water taxi drop off, so we didn't have to carry bags in the heat, and greeted us with refreshing juice. Getting between north and south was easy, either by booking the hotel's free boat, taking their golf buggies to the Split, or walking to the Split and catching the Rasta ferry.

The food was some of the best we ate on the trip, fresh and full of flavor, and the taxi and shuttle arrangements made everything easy and stress-free. El Ben Cabañas made my first visit to Belize feel special, especially as a birthday getaway. From arrival, the staff were welcoming, personable, and went out of their way to look after us. The whole stay felt warm and calm, just the feeling I wanted for my birthday. El Ben set a high bar for my first time in Belize, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend staying here!

The North part of the island is quieter, though a little rougher than the South part while it's under development. El Ben's staff make trips back and forth to the south part of the Caye really convenient. The property was wonderful and service was excellent, with great staff and good drinks at the bar.

The rooms were just right, and the amenities included extra beach towels and toiletries. Staff were lovely, communication was quick, and they were always ready to help. The complimentary rides to the South Island were especially useful. I'd absolutely recommend staying here, though I didn't think much of the restaurant and would skip it.
