Hotel Baie-Saint-Paul

A bit pricey for what you get, though fine for a quick stop. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but smelled like chlorine when I walked in. The EV charger's geotag was wrong, even though its name was correct.

We spent four nights here for a ski trip to Le Massif. The hotel was clean and updated, and it's well located near town and the ski hill, with bars and restaurants easy to reach. Staff were extremely friendly, and English was no problem. Breakfast was included, a full meal, and very delicious. Special shout-out to the ladies working there and their amazing coffee.

We had dinner there and were stunned by the generous portions. The hotel and attached restaurant make a great combination, and the service was great at both. Breakfast was delicious, and we both chose the Omelette (Fromage et Jambon). My French is almost non-existent, but we loved the service overall. We'd definitely return. Special shout-out to their Manager Luke.

The room was clean, but although it was called renovated, the sofa looked like it had seen better days. The rad heaters were quiet and didn't disturb our sleep, and the down blanket kept us very warm. The toilet was strange: when flushed, it first looked like it was about to overflow, which was alarming. Service was borderline rude. Employees seemed to treat the hotel like their own home, which might suit the employer but made guests feel unwelcome. The restaurant waitresses refused to speak English and seemed very stressed, huffing and puffing at any sign of displeasure. Breakfast was “included” with direct booking, but there was no coffee or tea station in the lobby. If you wanted coffee to wake up, you could use the room coffee with coffee mate, or ask the restaurant for a cup. We did the latter and got so much attitude it killed our appetite. When I tried to raise it with the front desk, she lectured me too. Dear hotel, remember that we are your guests. Stay away.
