The little chalet motel

It was easy and convenient to find, and the staff were pleasant, though they weren't available late at night. The room had no heat. They provided space heaters that didn't work and that I'm quite certain are a fire hazard. The stained or broken furniture and the fact that nothing has changed since the 70s made for a terrible stay.

The staff were very helpful, and both the rooms and grounds were well kept. We had two comfortable double beds, plus a fridge, microwave, and A/C, and the water pressure was good. These clean little individual cabanas had everything we needed for a nice stay. It felt cozier than a chain hotel, was a great value, and was quiet enough that we couldn't hear the neighbours at all. We'll definitely come back!

The desk lady was nice, and the price was cheap. It's right on the highway and easy to find. The rooms are very dated, and upkeep seems like a handyman's kind of job. Everything worked, but nothing was amazing. It's close to the woods, so we found a few Beatles. Probably wouldn't stay again, but it was okay for one night.

I had a bad experience in Room1 last Thursday. There were lots of insects and flies in the room, and the smoke smell made it hard to breathe. I almost went home right after check-in because I was so uncomfortable, and I didn't sleep at all. I left early to rest at home. I spoke with the front desk girl, but she didn't seem to care. She said the room had been painted a week earlier and nobody could smoke there because of the smoke alarm. Now I think the people who fixed up the room may have been smoking. Very bad experience, and I won't come back.
