Very clean rooms, and the owner makes you feel like family. The hotel is beautiful, with animal murals on the doors instead of room numbers. I posted videos of our Churchill experience and train trip on YouTube, post10.

We had the rooms and common room to ourselves, and Bill was happy to show us around, even take me swimming, lol. If we forgot anything, he'd find it for me. His place is right in the middle of all the accommodations. Iceberg Inn felt like a home, not just a hotel. It was my first time in Churchill and Bill was amazing. We love the inn and can't thank him enough!

Bill and Angela were so welcoming and helpful with tour ideas and tips during our stay. We hadn't booked any tours before arriving in Churchill, but when they heard there'd been a few polar bear sightings, they took us out to see the bears on our first day. That evening, they went out with us to see the Northern Lights too. A perfect place for a first Churchill visit. Definitely worth coming back. Thanks, Bill and Angela!

We spent a week in Churchill, and from the moment we arrived the owners made us feel at home. Bill took care of anything we needed, while his wife Angela guided us to see bears during the week. She's a 10 out of 10 wildlife photography guide: she shares your excitement about every encounter and does everything she can to help you get the best photos and have a great experience. Kevin also guides with them and is another star. The rooms at iceberg Inn were comfortable, clean, and warm. The location is excellent, opposite the supermarket and Seaport restaurant, just across the street. Highly recommended. Many thanks and hugs from Barcelona to our new friends in Churchill!

This place and its proprietor were, in a word, "skanky." There was a powerful tobacco smell mixed with an even stronger cleaning odor, maybe bleach, apparently being used to cover the smoke. The owner was a strange older man and utterly unhelpful when I asked about problems. I and two other groups arrived to find the front desk closed, with a sign telling us to call. We called and said we were outside; he said, "OK I'll be here." There may have been a language barrier. We waited about ten minutes in below-zero weather and called again. I asked directly if he was coming to open the door, and he said he was there, the door was unlocked, and we could come in. That was when I knew we were in trouble. The place looked bleak and dirty. The carpet was stained, there was black mold around the bathtub, and a string held the tub spout up after it had been "Fixed." My room was the only queen, while the other six rooms had twin beds. One of the couples who'd waited outside with me had been assigned a twin, so I offered to swap, but both rooms were equally awful. Changing rooms wouldn't have helped. I asked for a refund soon after seeing the place, but was told it had been paid in full and there would be no refund. I probably did know that, but had forgotten. I'd strongly suggest another hotel. Budget was an issue for me too, but there are a few much nicer options for the same price. Other business owners in town told me that all the five-star reviews were from before the hotel was sold to the current owners about a year ago. And a note: the charming Swiss chalet-looking building in the image is the train station, not the hotel.
