Stanley House

A great little place for a large group, especially if you want a cozier feel than a hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathroom was a good size too. The kitchen might feel small if the house is full, but it worked really well for our group. Definitely recommend it.

The place has a hostel feel, and we pretty much had it to ourselves. We enjoyed a lovely walk down the road after dark and liked seeing the train station. It has potential.

This didn’t feel like a good place for a girl travelling alone, so after the second night I moved to Clarenville inn. The house was very different from the photos, and the area is really quiet. Nobody was there to tell me which room was mine. It’s a shared house, so you only get your own room and have no idea who else is staying there. It seemed clean at first, but the cleaning felt superficial. My bed didn’t have fresh sheets, and I don’t think anyone had even made it, just washed the floors. The pillows smelled so bad I had to sleep on top of towels. I was scared of bed bugs. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

A nice, clean place with a clean kitchen and laundry facilities. It’s a bit away from town, but there’s hardly any traffic. Makes a great spot for a night or two.
