Hummingbird Bed and Breakfast

The hummingbirds in the backyard come by to eat from the feeder Doris has put out, which was lovely to see. Traveling with my daughter, we had a good night's sleep, and Doris even made extra eggs when she noticed how much my daughter likes them. Breakfast was fresh, and she was a wonderful host in a lovely home. This was my first homestay in Canada. After staying at hummingbird b and b, I want to try more homestays on future trips instead of hotels, partly to support small local businesses.

The house was beautiful and spotless, and our bed was so comfortable. Breakfast really hit the spot, too. Doris is an amazing host, and you wouldn't guess she's 83. If you get the chance, stay here. We had a wonderful time and wish you well, Doris.

The host had breakfast ready at the time we asked, and she gave us lots of helpful information about the area. We only stayed one night during a road trip with my daughter, and I wish we'd had longer. Our room was comfortable and clean, and she was so welcoming. She also let us use the kitchen to heat the food we'd brought and keep things in the fridge.

The upstairs room was a good size, and the ensuite was a real plus. The location was good and the host welcomed us warmly. I wasn't comfortable with the bedroom doors having no locks, either while we were out or when we were asleep, especially since other guests were in the other rooms and we didn't know them at all. The bed was very high, and its old spring mattress squeaked and felt uncomfortable. It may be time to replace it.
