SoLo Suites

We felt right at home in the spotless, modern unit, and that bed was so comfortable. It’s in a handy spot in Langford, near everything, but the place itself was still quiet and relaxing. Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly, and having free parking made things simple. We’d definitely come back.

We loved how easy the access code made getting into the suite. It was clean, and Xavier and Arpan were great with the booking, helping us look at the best options and making us feel welcome. Such a good stay at the Solo.

Our first night was uncomfortable because we kept wondering whether someone else might be able to unlock our door. We didn’t feel fully at ease leaving our belongings in the suite. In the end, the manager gave us 50% off the first night, but we had to ask for the discount. They were meant to message us that day to say whether we’d get one, then said the message had gone to the wrong person. The manager also said this had happened once four years ago, though the reviews made it seem like it wasn’t an isolated incident. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The trouble started with self check-in. We were emailed a room number and door code, but when we entered the suite, other people were already staying there. We eventually reached a staff member by phone and got another room. We’d been traveling since 4am and arrived to check in at 730pm, so it was a rough end to the day. The replacement unit was clean, at least, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work and we could hear the elevator.

The location made it easy to get around Langford, while the property still felt private and relaxing. Parking was easy, the place felt safe and well kept, and the staff really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Check-in was smooth, too. We were so comfortable there, it felt like home. The suites are spotless, modern, and nicely designed, with plenty of equipment and beds that are extremely comfortable. Our family will definitely come back on our next island visit. It seems like a great fit for either a short or a long stay, and we’d happily recommend Solo Suites.
