St Andrew Suites

The bed was very comfortable, and the heated bathroom tiles were a nice touch. I also liked the coffee and tea station, the mugs, and the decorative pillows. The town felt friendly, and it was easy to walk to nearby places; the restaurant downstairs was pretty good. There were several things that could use attention. We found dust in the bathroom, dirt under the bed, a woman's shirt in the pull-down couch, and bathroom items under the sink that looked old. The shower drain smelled really unpleasant. The room could have been cleaner, and if the room isn't serviced during the day, bigger waste bins or spare bags would help. The check-in process felt a bit odd. Check-in was at 2, while checkout at 10 felt early compared with many places.

The room was lovely, with a big toilet and shower, and the Smart TV was smarter than I was. My concern is the driveway: there's no warning that it ends at a sheer drop of about six feet. In the dark or fog, we could have discovered that the hard way.

Great spot and very responsive customer service. The place has a lovely historic feel, with hardwood floors, a comfortable bed, a nice fireplace, and a spacious bathroom with heated tile. I also really enjoyed the deep soaking tub. It would suit one person or a couple perfectly.

My husband and I stayed one night at St Andrew Suites for our seventh anniversary in Elora. The location was excellent, just a four-minute drive from downtown. The room, though, felt crowded with fans and wires, and there wasn't any shelf space. It smelled stale, as if nobody had been there for weeks. For the condition of the room, the price felt too high, and I wouldn't stay again.
