Franklin Suite Hotel

The room was roomy and generally clean, with clean beds and two TVs. Staff were friendly, and they even greeted me with pop and a handwritten note, which was very sweet. But the bathtub was completely rusted, so I didn’t bathe or shower that night. It was gross and really put me off. I’d called beforehand to say I’d be staying with my pet and was told it was pet friendly, with a small pet fee. When I arrived, I had to give up the room I’d requested for a ground level suite. As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t feel fully comfortable with that option, but it was the only one, and if I’d known, I would’ve stayed somewhere else. Also, while taking my dog out to pee and have a smoke, a man circled the parking lot and tried to approach me. I felt he would have persisted if I hadn’t had my dog for protection, and it made me not want to leave our room. I’d rate the stay 7/10 because of the safety issues I felt around the building and the bathtub cleanliness, which really threw off my night. Apart from that, the beds were clean, the suite spacious, and the staff generally friendly.
