The front desk ladies were kind, though not always able to help, and the shuttle driver was excellent. The rest of our stay was really difficult. I’m a disabled mom travelling with my disabled son and service dog. Housekeeping came in despite the do not disturb sign, which triggered CPTSD flashbacks and anxiety. After that, I didn’t feel safe. Water pressure was so low that flushing, showering, and brushing our teeth were hard, there was no shampoo in the shower when we arrived, outlets only worked sometimes, and you could hear everything through the walls and doors. The restaurant’s odd holiday hours left us in a bind because we had no car or car seat and no extra money after the airport didn’t compensate us for a cancellation and the additional three-day stay. The hotel restaurant wouldn’t accept hotel vouchers, even though this is the airport hotel. There’s free coffee and tea in the lobby, but check that the milk and cream aren’t spoiled. Also check your restaurant receipt: they tried to charge me $21 for a kids’ grilled cheese I’d ordered, apparently without paying close attention. The Wi-Fi is advertised as free but barely worked, so keeping mobile data on risked extra carrier fees. I didn’t even try the pool.

The front desk staff were great. The rest of the place had a dorm room feel, with cold showers, broken blinds, and peeling wallpaper in hallways that looked straight out of the 1970s. There was also a strange chair in the corner facing the bed. Maybe some people like that, no judgment. You get the sense you’re in a pretty rough spot as soon as you see locals at the slots and their partners playing pool. Without the free week of parking, I think most people would leave.

On February 24, 2026, we arrived to a kind, helpful welcome at the front desk. As we always do, we checked the mattress right away and found what looked like clear bedbug eggs on three of its four corners in room 243. We went straight back to reception. Staff showed us a second room on the first floor, the one kept on hold to the right of the desk, and we found the same issue on both beds, eggs on two or three corners of each mattress. The desk staff were understanding and kind. At our request, they called the manager while we prepared to leave and asked for a refund. The manager told them there was no chance of a refund and insisted the hotel didn’t have bedbugs, without seeing the photos or coming to check. We were told there had been an outbreak a year earlier and the hotel was treated, and that some rooms had also been treated just five days before. Treatments don’t always kill eggs, and the eggs in our photos looked like a sign of live bugs, not old, dried-up ones. We booked elsewhere and carried on with our trip. The three of us have stayed in hotels for years and travelled extensively. This was our first bedbug experience, and we’ve never left a bad review before. The manager’s response and what felt like disgusting treatment made us feel this was the kind of outcome he preferred. The truth comes out eventually. The next day, February 25, less than 24 hours after we left, the manager called. There was no apology or empathy. He went straight to saying they had never had bedbugs, didn’t have them, and wouldn’t refund us. A reasonable manager would have shown some care about a customer’s bad experience, but he blamed us and insisted we were wrong. He said a company had come that day and confirmed there were no bugs. When we asked for proof, he said it was done internally and there was none. We suggest you don’t stay here. The manager showed no ability to deal with a customer’s problem and seemed more interested in arguing than resolving it. We had a 6 a.m. flight the next morning. Why would a family leave at 10 p.m. and find another hotel after checking two rooms and three beds if we weren’t genuinely worried about a serious problem? We’d planned to stay near the airport and leave our car at the hotel for two weeks. Instead, we paid another $250 for a room and $180 per week to park at the airport, and stayed a 30-minute drive away instead of five minutes away. The extra cost was upsetting, and the manager’s unprofessional response made it worse. This is a genuine review. If the manager replies with excuses, I believe they’ll be lies. Look at the photos for yourself. We were the ones inconvenienced, not the hotel. We didn’t stay, and if there were no bedbugs, they could have booked the room again. Instead, the manager wants to keep the fee for a room we never used. Does that make sense? There are also Snapchat screenshots marked “17 hours ago” showing the bathroom floor in a disgusting state. We can provide iPhone photos with dates and location information if anyone wants to see them. This place is a dirty dive, and management seems content to run it into the ground. They could do well if they replaced the bedbug-infested mattresses and temporarily closed to fumigate and heat-treat the rooms. Instead, the manager treats people with a disgusting attitude and takes zero accountability.

Complimentary parking was the one clear plus. The long-term parkade felt chaotic, more like a junk yard. In Room 158, the shower had no water. I told the receptionist, who gave a smirky smile and said, “I’ll write it down.” I assume she meant she’d make a note to fix it, but there was no apology. The first interaction with staff was poor too: the attendants seemed tired and didn’t show much customer service skill. Later I called reception and got no answer. The shuttle is meant to leave at 15 minutes before and after each hour. At 5:22 it still hadn’t arrived, and when it finally did, it filled quickly. Since it’s first come, first served, some people nearly got left behind. I believe the hotel eventually drove the remaining passengers to the airport in a private car. The hotel feels run down. The carpet seemed dirty or unvacuumed, and some pillows didn’t smell fresh. Overall, a poor stay. I won’t stay here again.

The rooms are comfortable and the price is reasonable, with long-term parking included. The sound carries badly, though. You hear everything in the corridors, and I don’t get why people talk so loudly in hotel hallways. The fridge and heating unit in the room also make a lot of noise as they switch on and off.
