Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel

The waterfront location is a big part of why this is my go-to hotel in Halifax. You can take the sky walk to the local casino, and the boardwalk is easy to get to. I’ve stayed here many times for both work and pleasure, and it’s a beautiful Marriott. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout the stay. The rooms, exercise room, and restaurant are all top class, with no disappointments.

The harbor view from my spacious, amazing room was a highlight, and the hotel sits right along the harbor front. It’s a short walk to the ferry, restaurants, and coffee shops. This was my second stay, four nights in February this time. The club had continental items in the morning as well as a small hot breakfast menu. The food was good and the service great. I also liked the restaurant, with friendly service and a good beer selection. It stays open fairly late, which was useful when I arrived late. Everyone I dealt with was nice and professional, and the staff seemed very highly trained.

Loved being able to use the pedways to get to other buildings without going outside, and the location is great for restaurants and shopping. The staff were kind and upgraded us to a nice suite overlooking the waterfront. It was super quiet, too. A couple of small things, the coffee machines are dated and there wasn’t an ice machine on our floor.

The manager was really kind to help me out, even though I wasn’t a guest that evening. I was in the area for a work meeting and could only pop in briefly. My dog was in my truck and I had to keep it running, so I needed to stay where I could see it. After I explained the situation, he parked me right in front of the hotel doors so I could watch the truck and attend my meeting. I’ve stayed here many times before, and I really appreciated him going out of his way for me.
