I really want the Hotel to do well, so I mean this as constructive feedback. The location is good, the views are great, and the hosts are nice. The restaurant/bistro was okay but felt more like a cafe and could be better. There are many other restaurants nearby. Our room felt extremely cramped, especially after bad weather kept my wife, toddler, and me inside for a day. With both beds down, there was no space to move, and my son got frustrated quickly. The furniture needs an upgrade. The bed had sharp edges close to the wall, and my wife and I hit them several times. My son tripped a few times too. The other furniture was small and not useful, and the chairs under the TV didn’t work. The heavy folding bed slammed on my toe and left my toenails black, with no warning. The floor was hilariously uneven, as shown in the video. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and my son kept opening it while we were getting ready in the morning, so we had to hold it shut with chairs. These smaller problems made the stay worse. Parking was very narrow, maybe fine for small sedans, but I felt nervous with my big SUV. Minivans and SUVs won’t do well there. We liked the idea of the place, but a lot of little things got in the way of enjoying it. It might be fine without kids. I think some upgrades would help families with children have a better stay.

We went for dinner in winter, and they provided slippers to help keep the floors clean. The warm wood cabin brought back the feeling of family evenings and holidays. The food was very good, with a surprising mix of tastes and styles for such a small menu, and it was great to see vegan and vegetarian options. We’ll definitely come back, maybe to stay the night.

We had vegan options and regular dishes, and really enjoyed the vegan food. It was fresh, and the staff were very pleasant. A free window table gave us a lovely view of the St Lawrence River. We stopped in for dinner and loved the quaint atmosphere. If we lived here, we’d be regulars.

I haven’t rented a room yet, but I plan to soon. I found this lovely place by accident, and have already made the trip back several times for the great drinks and food. You can play board games at the cafe while you enjoy them. I like sitting at the back with the water view, though there’s also a very nice terrase with happy hours. I’ll definitely come again.

There are plenty of comfortable little corners to relax in at this family-run village hotel. The owners have travelled widely and brought interesting finds back with them. Rooms are small but well supplied, and there are stairs only. The bar and cafe-restaurant are on site, with live music sometimes. Parking is easy, other places are within walking distance, and the area feels safe and quiet. The English-speaking staff made us feel very welcome, and locals seem to enjoy coming here too.
