We tried two drinks and both were delicious: the peach vodka cocktail was refreshing and nicely balanced, while the chocolate-peanut butter rum drink was rich and indulgent. The food was very good and clearly made with care. The servers were excellent, the staff attentive, and the new owners very friendly and welcoming. The cozy atmosphere made us feel comfortable staying a little longer. We’ll definitely come back.

We stayed in a cabin for our first visit, while our friends had another one. Since we were there for a snowmobiling trip, we bought the meal plan and really enjoyed the meals. The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy and positive. We’d recommend staying here.

We’re from the area and plan to make Spectacle Lake Lodge a regular stop as we keep supporting local businesses. At the grand opening with the new owners, we came for lunch about an hour after it reopened. The homemade broccoli cheddar soup and Lodge Club Sandwich on rye were delicious, and the owners were incredibly welcoming. The rustic log cabin feel was perfect, with a wood fireplace warming the room. There were lots of snowmobilers stopping in for food, and Public Health was there checking that everything met standards. Way to go, new owners of Spectacle Lake Lodge!

The new owner was especially pleasant and took time to chat with us. We stopped in for dinner while riding the snowmobile RAP loop and found a warm, welcoming atmosphere, great food, and friendly, attentive service. Well worth stopping.

The setting is spectacular, the staff pleasant, and the meals excellent. The buildings could use some TLC, as several other reviews have mentioned. We stopped over before touring Algonquin Park in September with family visiting from Britain. A special thanks to our server, Ali, and chef, Gail, for the delicious breakfast that started our travel day so well.
