The room was pretty dirty: there was grease all over the TV, dirty water in the sink, and a massive spider in the room. The hotel also smelled a bit like a cheap hotel. Front desk service was relatively poor, and they overcharged our deposit; the guy tried to tell us they hadn’t. On the plus side, it was good value, with big rooms and a big kitchen. Breakfast was really good, and room service was quick and really good.

My car was stolen from the hotel’s own parking lot, and I’m extremely disappointed with how management handled it. They offered no real help and wouldn’t meet with me when I asked to speak to someone in charge. Instead, I got the runaround and the impression they had no interest in helping or taking responsibility for something that happened on their property. For a hotel that advertises safety and customer service, their response showed the opposite. The experience ruined my trip, and I’ll never stay here again. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking, since safety and property clearly didn’t seem to be a priority for this management team.

The breakfast the next morning was great, fresh, and yummy. The location was convenient, and the room was spacious and had everything I needed. Before the stay, I spoke to two different people about getting in early, but neither could guarantee it. I found that frustrating since I needed to be at an event for 4 and had to arrive at the hotel for 3. I would have paid for an hour early. After I explained that I was coming at 3 and asked where I could get dressed if my room wasn’t ready, the man said they could give it to me at 3. I’m still not sure why that was so difficult.

At 5am on my birthday, my partner’s truck was broken into while parked on the hotel property. Staff didn’t tell us until 8am, and when we spoke with them there was no urgency, accountability, or meaningful help. We later learned vehicle break ins happen in Toronto all the time, specifically in this area, yet there was no visible security, guest warning, or proactive measure in place. This completely ruined what was meant to be a special birthday vacation. The negative reviews are accurate. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here.
