Auberge L'Amarré

We ended up leaving without eating, so I can’t speak to the food. There was only one other person there, but after we picked a table for four with a nice view, we were asked to move to a table for two. We did, then got ignored. We tried ordering something to go, but the waitress answered the phone instead of helping us at the counter. There seemed to be a camera crew around, so maybe paying customers weren’t wanted, I guess. Very disappointing. We left.

The lobster poke bowl and Portuguese Custard Tarts we picked up for lunch were delicious!! Next time we pass through, we plan to eat there and might stay as well.

The owner and staff were so kind, helpful, and genuine, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We were Ontarians snowmobiling in Gaspe for the first time, and this place is an absolute MUST STAY. The food was out of this world, and the accommodations were excellent, with beds like sleeping on a cloud. We can’t say enough about this wonderful place and its people 🩵.

After a day of riding, the hot tub out back was a pleasant surprise. We stayed here on a snowmobile trip and were absolutely thrilled with the place. The rooms are small and very basic, but comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable too. There were so many good things in the store downstairs, including fresh baked goods, beer, wine, and all sorts of treats. The restaurant was fantastic, especially the spectacular fish soup. Everyone was really nice, and not speaking French was no issue at all. We’ll be back to Gaspe to ride, and this gem will definitely be on our list of places to stay.
