Hotel Bonaventure Montreal

We couldn’t have asked for a better location, and the staff were great. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the common areas, including the pool, are excellent. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it, in my opinion. One thing they could improve is the directions from the Metro. I think the REM opening changed which corridors in the underground path network are open, and even after three days we still hadn’t figured out the route.

Getting around was easy since the hotel is well placed and connects conveniently to the underground. I had a spacious, comfortable room with a cozy king-size bed, and slept really well. The heated pool was incredible, while the sauna and jacuzzi were just right for unwinding after a long day. The service was great throughout. Vincent at the front desk was especially patient and attentive, made me feel welcome straight away, and gave me a fantastic first impression. I had an amazing stay at Hotel Bonaventure and would definitely come back.

I’d give this place five stars because most of the people were so nice, despite a few hassles. I’d already paid $29 for parking, and it was expensive with no in-and-out privileges. Having to pay again if I left and returned felt blatantly anti-consumer. Also, the indoor pool entrance comes out at the deep end, which is really deep and made it hard to get my kid to the shallow end. The Expedia listing said there was an in-room microwave. When I asked at the front desk, an older guy said, “I’ve worked here 20 years we don’t do that,” and didn’t try to help. The woman beside him arranged to have one sent to our room. Everyone else was pleasant.

We stayed last summer and would definitely return, and recommend it to family and friends. The view was beautiful and the location very convenient. Staff were friendly, polite, professional, and helpful. The lobby was neatly arranged and decorated, and the pool area was clean.
