Kingfisher Inn

Marco and Abby did so much to make us comfortable and accommodate us. They went out of their way to make the stay as good as possible. Such a great experience with really lovely people!

Good spot for a quick meal or fuel, with other food options nearby too. The staff were friendly, my room was clean, and the heating and AC both worked well. Having the bar and pizza place attached was handy, especially since you can get to either without going outside, which would be nice in winter. The pillows were quite thick, so bring your own if you prefer a flatter one. I would've added another star if there'd been guest laundry. The laundromat in town had closed by the time my shift ended.

The Wi-Fi worked, and the shower had strong pressure and stayed hot. The towels were soft, too. But the tub and its surround were slippery, with no grip strips, handrails, or anything else to hold on to. That feels dangerous, especially for older guests who could break major bones in a fall. The place looked and felt grimy. I barely slept because I was worried about what I might catch from the sheets. The bedding didn't look clean, and the room was full of worn, unattractive furniture that looked like it was from the 80s. The bed was hard and creaked whenever I moved. The bathroom was dark and not very clean. They advertise a continental breakfast, but what I got was a small bag with a bottle of water, an orange, and a granola bar. The sign and website call this a "luxury hotel," which certainly wasn't my experience.

Abby and Marco were so patient and gave us great service. They made the stay worthwhile, and both the kids and adults loved it 🥰
