There’s no complimentary items, and the sheets, towels, walls, and floors were dirty. Appliances either didn’t work properly or didn’t work at all. The place was run down, unclean, smelled stale and of cigarettes, and had bed bugs. Staff were hard to find when needed, and it felt generally unsafe. Everything I associate with a bad hotel was here. This place is totally uninhabitable and should be avoided at all costs.
After a four-hour drive, we arrived around 11 at night with my 10-year-old son, only to be told the booking wasn’t confirmed, even though we’d booked a month earlier. The owner wouldn’t answer our calls. The caretaker showed us a foul-smelling basement full of bugs and said he was doing us a favour by letting us stay there. We left immediately. The place was nothing less than torture, and I wouldn’t book here. It felt like a scam.
I stayed here in October this year while traveling across Canada from the UK, and it was a bad choice. The photos need updating, and our door wouldn’t even lock. There was no service at all, so that’s why I gave one star for service.
The owners were very accommodating. The room was cozy, with a private bathroom and a nice little back porch. Great experience.
After driving from Toronto, I just needed somewhere comfortable to sleep, but I was sick and couldn’t get any rest all night. The whole house smelled bad, as did the bathroom. The shared washroom cabinets were broken and dirty, with flies and mosquitoes around. In the room, the TV didn’t work, had no remote, and was about the size of a desktop monitor. The monitor on a computer is way bigger. The AC didn’t work, but the lady claimed it was working and blamed the heat wave. The place wasn’t worth the price at all. I was completely disappointed and left before checkout. I wouldn’t recommend this miserable place to anyone.
