I stayed here over Christmas with my two small dogs. The room wasn’t very clean: there was something on the closet floor that I hope was a chocolate raisin, and the bathroom walls were stained. This didn’t feel like a dog-friendly hotel. He expected me to leave the dogs in the car because he wouldn’t allow them to be alone in the room. I explained that other hotels I’d stayed at, and local hotels I called, allowed dogs to be left alone. He said it was his policy. When I pointed out he could have explained it at check-in so we could have gone elsewhere, he said he didn’t need to explain all of his policies. The toilet paper wasn’t replenished, and he complained about the dogs being left there and having to clean the carpets. The extra fee is supposed to cover carpet cleaning, according to his sign, but he said he’d have to clean them now, so it seems the carpets aren’t even cleaned after pets leave. He wasn’t nice, and I’d never stay here again. After reading other reviews, I saw that he also claimed we tried to sneak in the second dog, even though it was in plain sight at check-in.
