My girlfriend and I loved the cozy feel here. Our room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, and we could walk just about anywhere in five minutes. The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was amazing, made exactly to order. They also offered free towels for the hot springs. It was mid-February, so we didn’t try the seats on the wraparound porch, but they looked great and would be lovely in warmer weather. The price was extremely reasonable. We had nothing but good things to say and would recommend it to anyone staying in Radium.

We got more than we expected for a B&B-level price: a quiet, clean place in a great location, with a good breakfast cooked fresh. Nothing fancy, but it was good value for money. I’d definitely leave a tip for the cook and receptionist. The decor may be old, and the poor woman handling breakfast, cleaning and the front desk at once sometimes looked a bit overwhelmed and uninterested. Even so, we had a cozy, nice stay. This is a B&B, not a five-star resort, and deserves its five stars. Some reviewers seem to expect the two to be the same.

The only person who made us feel welcome was the wonderful woman who prepared breakfast. She was warm and kind, and showed the sort of hospitality this Inn used to be known for. We used to enjoy its comfortable, homey feel, but that charm and personal atmosphere seem to have disappeared along with the service. We’ll stay somewhere else in the future. It’s disappointing to see a place with such a good reputation decline this much. Even changing a reservation became a drawn-out problem. I sent two emails and made two calls before anyone dealt with it, and then they sent a confirmation with the wrong dates. When I called a third time, the staff member told me to “go online and deal with it yourself” and hung up. The website is difficult to navigate, so that wasn’t helpful. It felt like they simply didn’t want to handle the issue. That customer service was completely unacceptable. I’m extremely disappointed in the direction the Inn has taken over the last couple of years. What used to be a warm, welcoming place with great service has clearly changed for the worse.

Breakfast was delicious and one of the highlights, and the front desk lady was amazing and a great cook. Our room was comfortable, cozy and clean, and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay at Inn on Canyon in Radium. The carpet was the one downside. It didn’t feel clean and could use replacing. Even with that, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel.

The location was a plus: shops, restaurants, playgrounds and the main road are all within walking distance. There was even a beautiful deer wandering casually through the parking lot. From outside, the motel looked as expected, and check-in went smoothly with a woman who wasn’t very communicative or friendly. We arrived an hour early, though, so we were grateful to get in. Inside, the lobby felt more like furniture storage. The wall clock had stopped, the flyers were badly outdated, and a restaurant on the local suggestions list had been closed for two years. Another place on the main road was empty and for sale. I’d emailed a month before arrival to ask about holiday opening hours in the area and never got a response. We were given no directions or map to find our room, so it felt like a treasure hunt. In the first room, there was dirt on the wall that took five seconds to wipe off, food under the table, scratches on the wall, wide gaps between the hardwood panels, two broken TV remotes and a curtain rail hanging loose. The bedding was clean and new. We didn’t notice until later that the bed was missing a leg. We told reception, the woman came up, and we got a refund for the first night and moved rooms the next morning. The second room was better, but its carpet was extremely filthy. Breakfast was standard and nothing special. The same woman made it, but the serving table wasn’t welcoming: opened juice boxes, crystallized honey with no serving tool, unlabeled thermoses and an open garbage bin that stayed full for days. We chose this motel for its location and Google ratings, which turned out to be a big mistake. We learned the owner had changed one or two years ago, and it seems the new owner hasn’t put their heart into the Inn. It has clearly seen better days in more caring hands, and a 4.6 rating doesn’t feel realistic. Understaffing is a major issue in the region, but I feel someone would take a job for reasonable pay and a little above minimum wage.
