The Grand Central is a small, basic place, but for 100$ it gives you an affordable, clean, safe room for the night. Check-in is by Skype call in the lobby, and I didn't see any staff on site. The room is tiny, but it works while you're exploring the region. Its best feature is the location, close to bars and restaurants and only a few minutes' drive from the lovely sites in the city. 6/10
The room was clean and quiet, and check-in went smoothly. It is small, with a bed that's too small for two, and the layout could be better, especially with a separate bathroom. The metal bars on the headboard feel like a safety hazard.

The decor is cozy and quaint, but the bathroom isn't a separate room, so there's no privacy. A curtain surrounds the toilet, which seems like a major hygiene concern since men may spray while urinating, and I doubt the curtain gets washed after every visit. There's a public washroom on the second floor, but it has a hand towel instead of a paper towel dispenser. Who knows how many people have used it?

Such a cute room, but tiny. When I'm on the toilet, my feet touch the bed. And the toilet's separated by drapes instead of walls???

Pretty great. I got to pee on the wall.
