Nina is wonderful, and the family-owned hotel suites are amazing. They're extremely clean, and you can't beat the location if you want to be in the heart of beautiful downtown. Nina is kind and has a big heart. She even saved a baby sea gull and helped reunite it with its family on the rooftop suite. Can't wait to come back 💜💜

The Franklin Hotel is stylish and comfortable, with an ideal spot in St. John’s. Check-in was easy to do yourself. One of the best places to stay there, highly recommend!

The location was the only good part. I paid 150 bucks a night, but the first two nights the heaters didn't work, so I slept in my fleece and winter jacket. The whole floor was dark, and I had to use my phone to find my room. The key cards kept failing and locking me out, and there was no toilet paper, so I bought my own. Then after checkout they charged me for using the towels and sheets because they had to be washed. It's a hotel, of course those things get used. Ridiculous. Stay somewhere else.

We liked our room, it was clean, minimal, and contemporary. You can definitely hear the nightlife on Water Street, but we still fell asleep quickly enough. Glad we only had one night, though.

Our hosts were so helpful when our flight left late, and everything else was lovely. Air circulation was the one issue, since the bathrooms didn't have fans. We'd definitely stay again.
