Hilton Garden Inn Sudbury

The food in the restaurant was awesome, and felt high end. Staff were lovely, and service for our work conference was excellent. It was my first visit, and I liked the hotel and its amenities, including the pool and gym. I’d definitely stay again.

The food was the main reason for my low rating. We paid for breakfast, which cost $4 for coffee and around $17-20 for a meal, while most hotels include breakfast. My toast was burnt, the potatoes tasted burnt, and the omelette was burnt too. The waitress didn’t seem to care. She said, “I’m sure the cook didn’t mean to,” but cooking the food is the cook’s job. It shouldn’t have been served. I’d go to Stacks across the street instead. Update: Their reply confirmed breakfast wasn’t included, but didn’t address the poor food. I’m still here for another night and feel even more disappointed by the response. The customer service was poor.

The room was modern, clean, and had a nice interior. The Keg is right nearby. Our keys weren’t working during the stay, so someone had to come escort us to the room each time. I work in the hotel industry, so I know these things can happen. Staff responded quickly and were very accommodating. Breakfast was good too.

Cassandra at the front desk was amazing during the two nights we stayed, and really helpful. I called down after forgetting some personal items, and within five minutes she’d brought them up with a little care bag of water and the things I needed. She was so kind, and gave great late-night food suggestions when I asked. The cleaning and restaurant staff were friendly and kind as well. They really care about guests, and the whole stay felt welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!
