Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thompson

Housekeeping came to our room before checkout, while my son and I were still inside. At 10:30 a.m., with checkout at 11, a cleaner questioned me about which room I'd just checked out of while I was moving luggage to the car. Then at 10:40, someone was already trying to come in. After I complained, they charged me for towels with makeup on them, which ordinary laundry should handle. When my husband called to discuss it, staff hung up on him. The room itself was dirty, the bathroom grimy, and there were random hairs everywhere. The shampoo and conditioner were empty again, the second time this has happened here. We also heard lots of noise from upstairs, and there was bird feces just outside the main entrance. It was an unprofessional, uncomfortable stay. This place has gone downhill over the last few years, and I won't stay again.

The property is run down, with chipped paint and a parking lot in bad shape. The curtains were falling apart and didn't block the light, and the screen was out in the gress. The bathroom fan was loud, and you had to hold the toilet handle until it finished flushing.

The Thompson area feels a bit sketchy, though that's not the hotel's fault. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was good, better than most.

I used to stay here with my work team over the years, and it was always quiet, clean, and well serviced. Since the hotel got new owners, the rooms aren't as clean and the guests don't seem to be vetted as before. People are up all hours banging doors, playing loud music, and honking in the parking lot. The old management made sure guests respected one another and didn't allow parties. That seems to be over now. We miss Addy and the former staff more than I can say. We'll look at staying at the comfort Inn next door.
