Super 8 by Wyndham Thompson

The room was already damaged when I arrived, with an exposed screw on the wall and a carpet stain, but management took my damage deposit anyway. They said they had video proving the damage wasn't there before check-in, then backed away from that claim when I asked to see it. I didn't have a credit card, so I paid the deposit by debit. They said repairs would cost over 400 and kept every cent. It felt like a rip-off and a major scam. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told she wasn't there. After police arrived, I was told she lived in Winnipeg and couldn't be reached. The police couldn't do anything either. Awful service and the worst experience I've had. Don't stay here.

At Super 8- thompson, Ravinder did a great job helping me at check-in, check-out, and throughout my stay. They were friendly and professional. PARAMJIT and AMAN kept my room neat and clean with excellent room service, and they were kind and professional too.

For 300 dollars, breakfast was fruit loops, toast, and a muffin in a plastic bag, with what felt like more preservatives than a factory. There wasn't any hot breakfast, so no thanks. The room was clean and smelled fine, and the service was friendly and great. I had no trouble walking around the parking lot.

For what they charge, this feels like a rip-off. The rooms and bathrooms are old and need serious updates, and the continental breakfast was the worst I've had, even though I spend a week each month in hotels across the country. I'd rather stay at a Best Western or a cheaper hotel and buy breakfast somewhere else.
