Radisson Hotel Toronto East

We stayed for only 90 minutes. The building felt like a mess and was uncomfortably hot, with no air conditioning. It also just felt really gross. There was a severe cockroach infestation. After about ten minutes in the room, we went to shut the curtains to try to cool it down, and cockroaches started coming out. We rushed to pack and left. I don't understand how so many people are okay with living in places infested with cockroaches. Don't go here, and don't let the shelterline put you here. The pool and fitness area were out of operation.

We didn't even stay in the bed. In the hour and a half we were there, I killed 32 bugs. The place was completely infested with dangerous bed bugs and other kinds of cockroaches. When they bit our one-year-old daughter, my wife and I packed up and left at 5 in the morning. It was a nightmare for all three of us. The guards told me nobody does anything about it, and that they have bed bugs in their own room too, with bugs sometimes showing up in the food. Don't let the people at Central Intake send you there.

Thank you to everyone at Costi Radisson for being patient and understanding with us as newcomers who left our homes and came to Canada seeking refuge. It's good to know how hard you're working to meet our expectations. We're grateful for the free meals and Wi-Fi, and for your help and concern whenever we need them. The social workers and house councillors are doing their best to help us through our difficulties, and they care deeply about helping us begin a peaceful new life in Canada. Thank you so much for everything.

We stayed as a family of four and loved it. It was a kid-friendly place, convenient, flexible, and very supportive, including with extra breakfast and food for the kids.
