Les Suites de Laviolette, an Ascend Collection Hotel

After a long day of driving, I stayed for one night and slept like a baby. The room was clean and well kept, and the bedsheets were warm on a cold night. Breakfast was good, too. The staff were very friendly, saying good morning and good night whenever they saw me. I enjoyed my stay!

The first night was awful because of the terrible noise from the motor room. They immediately agreed to move us the next day, and things improved immensely. We had a beautiful view of the famous La Violette bridge. The hotel's right under the iconic bridge and has an excellent location. Breakfast is included, nothing fancy, but it does the job, with eggs and toast, coffee, potatoes, yogurt and muffins. We walked to Walmart and Costco, then drove to the quaint, historic downtown. All in all, a very nice getaway.

The room we ordered had a huge spa bath and big mirrors, and things were good overall. The tub pipes were a little nasty, though, so we had to flush them at least three times. There was rust on the USB outlet, which I think could be a fire hazard. It was right where the bath jets were aimed when switched on.

The room was cozy and clean, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was included, and I expected just coffee and muffins, but it turned out to be a mini buffet with fruit, yogurt, juice, cereals, sausages, eggs, maple beans and toast. That was a nice surprise.
