Hi Valley Motor Inn

I could hear every word from the couple next door even though they weren't speaking loudly, so the rooms don't block much sound. The beds seemed decades old, the carpets were stained, and the tubs looked like they'd been painted repeatedly, with the finish chipping around the drain. The sign claiming it was newly renovated feels like a complete lie. I'd avoid staying here and spend the money at the place down the road.

The only positive was the front desk woman, who was kind and helpful. The room itself was freezing, and I had to bundle up to sleep. WiFi kept dropping out, and the phone signal jumped between one and three bars within a few inches. The bathroom was so disgusting I didn't want to shower, and the bedding smelled like rig dope. It was nowhere near clean. Absolutely vile, and I'm never coming back.

The rooms are decent, especially for guys working out in Valleyview. The beds were okay, though I'd bring my own pillows. There are only two outlets, so a power bar and a 10-foot extension cord would help. I found that letting the tub run full blast for ten minutes brought a good supply of hot water.

The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of TV channels, but the bed was far too hard for me, even though I usually like a firm mattress. The fridge didn't work, which kept this from being a three-star stay. I paid for a double queen room, but the beds were clearly doubles. I've stayed in worse places, though you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere in Valleyview.
