Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites

My spacious one-bedroom queen was on the quiet side of the building, which made it easy to relax. I also got to see some of the upper rooms during an event we were hosting. Room 1601 deserves a mention if you want a really relaxing bath. It's not jetted, but the soaker tub is amazing. From arrival to departure, Chateau Victoria felt welcoming and everything went smoothly. The front door team, desk staff, housekeeping, and even people I passed in the halls were upbeat, friendly and full of personality. That made an already excellent stay even better. Thanks to the whole team. I'd highly recommend it for a Victoria getaway.

The rooftop restaurant was a great spot for breakfast, with delicious food and amazing views. Parking was easy, and the location worked well for us. We also really liked our room and its comfortable beds. The clean pool and hot tub were fantastic, especially how deep the pool was. We'd definitely come back next year.

The hotel was clean, well placed for getting around, and the staff gave great service. At check-in they were friendly, professional and helpful. We walked easily to the Royal BC Museum and Miniature World, which our daughter absolutely loved. The one snag came from our booking through Alaska Airlines Vacations, which used Expedia. I thought we'd reserved a king bedroom, but the bed type was only a request, not guaranteed. We were first given two queens and paid extra to upgrade to a king. That wasn't the hotel's fault, and the staff handled it well. If a particular room type matters, I'd book directly with the hotel.

We had a great time exploring Victoria and would stay at the Chateau again. Travelling with my two kids, ages 9 and 11, on the Victoria Clipper made getting to the hotel on foot easy. We were pleasantly surprised to check in before noon. The clean one-bedroom suite gave us plenty of space to relax, and the kitchenette and dining area were handy. The kids loved the pool, though I found it uncomfortably hot inside. A bit of air would make a big difference. The Clipper trip was great, and so were the shuttle drivers. When the vending machine failed to dispense the phone charger we'd bought, Dana at the front desk gave us our money back and lent us a charger for our stay. Thanks for a wonderful trip!
