Jenny's Guest House

The hosts welcomed me so warmly, and when the aurora came out, they even showed me a good place to see it. Their hospitality was wonderful. Everything at the accommodation was spotless and well cared for. I stayed here to see the Northern Lights, and would recommend it to anyone.

Jenny’s B&B is within walking distance of the information centre, and the room was clean and neatly arranged. Jenny really looks after her guests around the clock. She knew we were there for the Aurora (northern lights), and when she spotted it while out on the streets, she called to tell us to go see it. On the last day of August, we walked through the city under the Aurora stripes, with the city lights all around us. It was warm enough that I was wearing shorts. What a magical night.

Jenny was so kind whenever we crossed paths. When I was worried about where to call a taxi for my trip back, she surprised me by arranging it herself, then kindly saw me off when I left. I felt like I'd found a new mother 😂 Thank you for everything! My room was right by the kitchen, which was convenient. It had a coffee machine, dishes, and everything else I needed while keeping to a food budget. The beds were spacious and firm enough for me. I could clearly hear noise from the next room, but I think the place is worth the price. The location was great, close to some cafes and restaurants, an independent grocery store, and Shoppers.

It's quiet downtown, with handy places within walking distance, and Jenny is friendly and respects her guests' privacy. She responded quickly whenever we needed her. I'd recommend staying here to friends and family, though the whole house could use a cleaning service and the plumbing and heating need maintenance.
