A good breakfast spread, and I liked being asked how I wanted my eggs. There’s also a wide range of restaurants and places to eat nearby, with choices at different price levels. Checkout was a great experience, too. The room was spacious after a welcome upgrade, with more than enough amenities and a comfortable bed that made a good night's sleep easy. The hotel itself is lovely and well located: close to the station, with the airport and nearby lakeside towns easy to reach from there. The Rhone is right behind the hotel, and Cathedrale Saint-Pierre Geneva and quite a few tourist sights are within walking distance. The United Nations Office and Broken Chair sculpture are a short bus ride away. Thanks for the complimentary transport card, which made Geneva public transport, including the airport train, very convenient. I’d happily return to Geneva.

The breakfast was good enough to bring me back for a second stay, and I wish I’d picked this hotel on earlier trips. I also love the boutique feel, attentive staff, restaurant, and that signature scent on the ground floor. For rooms, I’d choose the second-best flat over the priciest loft. On my first visit the loft felt cramped and didn’t justify the extra cost. The flat was a much better experience, and the one I had featured a larger shower, so I didn’t have the hassle of standing in a bathtub. Housekeeping was inconsistent on both stays, despite a year between them. Small things were missed, like refilling empty napkin boxes and leaving fresh bottled still water. I also had to keep asking for extra laundry bags after the initial service. At the start of my week-long stay, I asked for memory foam pillows and was told they weren’t available because of high demand, but nobody checked in later to see if any had become free. The housekeeping phone line’s operating hours weren’t explained either. Everyone I met was polite and professional, but these service gaps were noticeable downsides.

It felt cozy, like home, and the location was close to everything we were looking for. The service, cleanliness, and staff were all five stars. We booked two duplex rooms with breakfast, and the food was delicious. I especially loved the eggs, cheese, and mushroom dish. Check-in was smooth and the staff were helpful. We stayed for two nights over the weekend. The hotel is beautifully decorated, as was our room, and the location is perfect for exploring Geneva, about five minutes from the Lake and a 15-minute walk to the old town. We hadn’t realized the restaurant closes on weekends. There’s a limited bar menu, but it’s expensive for what you get. When we returned after 4pm on the second day, our room still hadn’t been serviced. The receptionist was very apologetic and offered us a complimentary drink while we waited. The bed was exceptionally hard. Overall, a rather disappointing stay for a hotel we thought would feel more luxurious.
