The cigarette smell was hard to ignore, and it brought our stay down to about 3.5 stars. We arrived late and were tired, so we didn't ask to switch rooms, but for a hotel at this level, we expected a fresh, smoke-free room. Fixing that would make a real difference for future guests. Otherwise, the room was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the location is excellent. Check-in went smoothly despite our late arrival, and the staff were polite. Without the odor, it would have been close to a five-star stay.

Victor made sure I had my complimentary coffee and train pass as I was heading out, and a nice Tunisian lady asked how my trip was going. The room service attention to detail was impeccable. All in all, you feel like a real person here. A fabulous hotel at an affordable rate.

The shower screen let water onto the bathroom floor, so the shower wasn't waterproof. The rooms also feel outdated. The location is fantastic, though, on the lake just behind the Four Seasons.

We only stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and it had enough toiletries, towels and slippers. I love when slippers are provided, and it was nice to have a window for fresh air. The location by the water is great, close to shops and restaurants. The young woman at the concierge desk was very nice and helpful. I'll stay again when I'm in Geneva.
