Interlaken Linda Inn Lodge

Our room was clean and meant for four people, with a separate bathroom. We also got a second key for a private bathroom across the hall. The showerhead was completely broken, although the water pressure and temperature were good. The man who checked us in seemed in a bad mood and didn’t make eye contact with me once.

I really enjoyed the room at Toscana Hôtel, especially the bidet in the bathroom. I’d been upgraded from Linda Inn Lodge for my one-night stay, and I appreciated the service. The reception staff were very nice. I’m not sure of his name, but I think it was Mohammad. At first I was annoyed that I had to walk to the new hotel again, but I appreciated how they handled it. If I’d known I would get an upgrade, I would have booked three nights.

For such an expensive place, the conditions were really poor. When I checked in, there was someone else’s hair on the bed, and I have no idea how long it had been since the bed was changed.

The place is old, but it was comfortable enough, and the convenience was great for budget accommodation. We had the Junior Suite Room, with beds for four and a private kitchen and bathroom. The main benefit is the location, within walking distance of both Interlaken West and Ost. Coop is only a four-minute walk away, which made cooking our own meals easy. Plenty of restaurants and cafes are nearby too, including a local brewery and bakery.
