Parking was hard to find when we drove in from another city, and we got fined, so check carefully where you’re allowed to leave the car. We stayed at Hotel Restaurant Anker, which has its own restaurant on the ground floor. The location is right in the city center, convenient for getting around and seeing nearby attractions. The hotel and restaurant are worth the price in my view. My family loved the stay and meal: every dish we ordered was enjoyable, and the cozy atmosphere made it a nice place to relax. Staff recommended a red wine that paired beautifully with the beef steak.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, even though we arrived shortly before the kitchen closed and only had time to order a few things. The bone marrow was a highlight, a much larger portion than I’m used to seeing in the USA, and the octopus was very good too. We got there early for our one-night stay, so they gave us a bar voucher for a drink, alcoholic or not, while we waited. The room was ready within a couple of minutes. Staff were super friendly, and the hotel was a lovely blend of modern updates and historic charm, with fun architecture. Our room was cute and had a good-sized bathroom, but neither the bed nor pillows felt particularly comfortable to us. It was still a fantastic spot.

We found it easy to reach on foot from the train station. The place had a relaxed charm and didn’t feel too crowded or commercial. Our visit went smoothly and was memorable. It’s a convenient stop near the station, and I’m glad we came across it. I’d happily recommend it.

We loved our stay at this boutique hotel. Room 310 had a king bed, a lovely peaceful patio, and a beautiful view. The room was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s also a great base for exploring Lucerne.

Breakfast had lots of things I liked, including Gorgonzola, fresh bread, pickled cucumbers, yogurts, cereals, jams, boiled and scrambled eggs, three deli meats, sausage, salted fish, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, desserts, two juices, still water, and coffee. I loved the cups too. I also ate at the restaurant and had drinks at the bar. The dessert menu was adorable and made me smile. After we got the bill, they brought a tiny portion of marshmallows for us to grill right at the table, which was such a fun surprise. I came in early December for my birthday and wasn’t disappointed. The room was spotless, with tidy details, lots of storage, and useful furniture. The bathroom had a spacious, comfortable shower, nice lighting, a small makeup mirror, and storage. I really liked the staff, especially the kind woman who served my husband and me, though sadly I can’t remember her name. The atmosphere was comfortable and friendly, and the hotel is perfectly placed, very close to the train station. Thank you for a lovely stay in this beautiful city ❤️
