Bristol Hotel

It's convenient for getting to the Hbh, but the room on the 5th floor was very uncomfortable. The sloping roof came down so low that I hit my head a couple of times. The old town's drainage also stinks. This is one of the worst hotels on my list.

I was grateful to get an early check-in on a rainy day when I was carrying all my luggage. The woman at the desk kindly upgraded me from the single room I'd paid for to a double. Breakfast was delicious and filling, and The Bristol sits in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It's a great base for exploring Zurich, or for a night before flying home. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Zurich main train station, where trains to the airport run almost nonstop.

Reception, especially Mr. Thulemann, was very helpful, and they stored our luggage when we arrived early. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station. Our room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and we slept like logs. Breakfast was excellent, served with excellent service in a bright, airy space.

My husband and I were really pleased with our two-night stay. The location was perfect, and everything felt top notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were good, and breakfast had a fresh variety of items each day. The staff were especially kind, with a big thank you to Vanessa and Martin. This is the place to stay in Zürich.
