Hotel Hechtplatz

After checking out, they happily stored my bag again so I could explore before catching my afternoon train. I’d arrived a few hours before check-in after a long flight from Chicago, and they let me leave my bag while I walked around the beautiful town. The lake is close, as are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. I stayed just one night, but had a very nice experience and would stay again. The room was clean and cozy, the staff were kind, and it was quiet. I also enjoyed my morning coffee on the rooftop terrace. And there’s a really cute little elevator, haha.

The location is fantastic, but the service is awful. The room is very small and the bathroom is even smaller. If you lose your card at night, you’ll sleep outside. Reception is open only from 3 pm until evening, and they don’t answer the phone outside working hours. The owner kindly advised us to stay at another hotel next time to avoid this problem.

Linda gave us a warm welcome, and the staff were very nice throughout. The breakfast was delicious, with a good range and fresh options each morning. We also liked the rooftop as a place to relax with an evening drink and take in the city atmosphere. We stayed a few nights at HOTEL HECHT and had a great experience. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the lake. The rooms were well maintained, and the ventilators made a big difference on warmer days. It’s a comfortable and convenient option for a leisure or business visit, with plenty of charm.

The staff were super nice, and the hotel had a relaxed feel. I stayed a few nights and had a very good experience. The rooftop terrace is a great feature, and it’s well located for getting around the city. I’d gladly return.
