The customer service staff knew I was left out on the street with all my luggage for five hours during a transfer from one Vision Apartment to another across the street. They didn't seem to care or offer a solution. I was even told to “enjoy”. Aside from that, it was fine, but this experience was too terrible to ignore. I'd recommend booking elsewhere, where taking your money doesn't mean throwing you onto the street.

The smell from the sink area was revolting, like rotting fruit or meat, and so persistent that it made the room uncomfortable to spend time in, let alone sleep. We booked three nights, then reserved another hotel by 11 PM on the first night and left the next morning. Reading other reviews, it seems we're far from the only people to do that. I wish I'd paid more attention to those warnings. The room looked nothing like the photos. It was sparse, poorly thought out, and short on basic function, as if it had been dressed for pictures and then emptied. The towels were visibly yellow-stained, unacceptable at any price, especially this one. The walls were stained and marked too, giving a dirty, neglected impression that didn't look like ordinary wear and tear. The bedding was some of the worst I've encountered. The pillows felt like thin cardboard, and the two extra ones we requested in the afternoon never arrived. The “doona” or quilt seemed like a thin sheet, too small for the bed, probably a double on a queen. It was tucked in on one side to look made, but left the other side exposed. The bed itself was rock hard. The intercom was exposed, with wires visible behind it, which looked unfinished and unsafe. It didn't work properly either, so if anyone had come with the pillows, we wouldn't have known. There were no proper curtains, just tassels, so light flooded the room. The bedhead also made it impossible to plug international adapters in beside the bed, making it frustrating to charge devices. A motel around the corner had body wash, working power points on both sides of the bed, and basic comfort, all missing here. For what it offers, this place is wildly overpriced: uncomfortable, poorly cleaned, misleadingly advertised, and inattentive to guests. In over 30 years of travel, even to very remote parts of the world, it's one of the worst and least functional places I've stayed. Who would have thought my worst accommodation experience would be in Zurich, Switzerland? If you care about comfort, cleanliness, honest advertising, or basic amenities, don't book here.

What bothered us most was the bathroom: both the shower and toilet had uncovered glass walls, so there was little privacy and it felt uncomfortable. The kitchen also had a large puddle, likely from a leaking fridge. There weren't many towels for a group, and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Instead of proper curtains there were hanging strips, so there wasn't much privacy or darkness at night. The location was good and the place has potential, but it needs improvements for comfort and privacy.

The room we got was basic, smelled persistently damp, and looked nothing like the bright, modern photos online. The communal corridors were noticeably dirty and poorly maintained too. The location isn't near Zurich Old Town either, it's a 25-minute walk. When we complained, customer service was dismissive. Staff said the room matched the category we'd booked and that the website pictures were “indicative only”, showing the best rooms. There was no clear disclaimer on the listing to say the images didn't represent every room type. I found that extremely frustrating and the whole experience felt deceptive and disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this property, especially if you're choosing it based on the Expedia photos. What you see is definitely not what you get.
