VISIONAPARTMENTS Zurich Cramerstrasse 2-6

Visionapartments cramerstrasse 8-12 8004 zurich is a place to avoid at any cost. The rooms are cramped, there's no proper heating, and the doors and windows don't close well. There's no elevator, and the stairs are narrow. Maintenance is nonexistent. They say they clean weekly, but my room wasn't cleaned. I took photos of cockroaches in the rooms and sent them in. My company had put me in a guest room, and after I complained they moved me to a new place by cramerstrasse 6, which was a bit better. The free WiFi there still sucked.

There are no elevators, despite what the very misleading pictures led us to expect. We were on the fourth floor, and carrying our luggage up broke it. The room was tiny, and the bed was tiny too. One of the worst places I've ever stayed.

After we reported the problems, Visionapartment offered either a smaller, inferior apartment with no refund for the extra costs, or one 20 km from the center. Neither worked for us, and the staff were unfriendly and didn't seem to care. It ruined what had otherwise been an excellent week in Switzerland. I'd advise staying away from Vision appartments if you're visiting Zürich. We only needed a small, workable base for a week. After arriving late from an overseas flight, we wanted a shower and some rest, but the shower door wouldn't close because its seals were broken, and water got all over the apartment and our suitcases. The next morning the little table we wanted to use for coffee was broken. The apartment's design was poor, and a broken light switch just behind the entrance was a safety hazard.

The price was good for the whole stay, but the mattress and pillows were really bad. Just so you know before booking, they never clean the apartment, and a single cleaning costs 100 CHF.
