Our two-bedroom unit was so comfortable for two girls, both indoors and outside, and the beds were very comfortable, on a par with the Pullman hotel (Auckland airport). We even had our own washer and dryer, so we could go home with clean clothes. It was my first trip to Aitutaki, but it won’t be my last. I had a really relaxing five nights and will make it seven next time. The location is perfect, a short drive from the airport and to the local (diary). Thanks, Trevor, for meeting us at the airport and pointing out Nick (mayor of Aitutaki). The food and drinks were at good, normal prices, and I loved the 4pm happy hour with ocean views. There are two pools, and the coral is perfect for easy snorkeling. It was nice to have a lifeguard, who also managed the fins, kayak, and paddle board. The cultural evening had one of the yummiest buffets, with so much food and fantastic dancers. The staff were amazingly friendly and made us feel so welcome. I felt sad to leave.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and the staff have been friendly and welcoming both times. The resort is absolute beachfront, with a stunning setting that’s great for snorkeling. Kayaks and paddle boards are available too. In our opinion, the restaurant food is the best in Cook Islands, always so delicious. The ocean platter gets a 10/10 from us. We’re looking forward to returning to resort Tava'e Aitutaki next year. It’s well worth the island hop from Rarotonga.

Trevor really went above and beyond for our family. We hadn’t planned well enough to hire a car, so he took us to a few shops, gave us a mini island tour, and still made sure we got to the airport on time. Violeta in the restaurant gave wonderful service, the reception team were helpful and accommodating, and Andrew deserves a mention for arranging scooters and dinner bookings. We were a family of four in the two-bedroom unit, and it was an incredible stay. The laundry, luggage storage, and well-equipped kitchen made things easy and comfortable. The location is fantastic for snorkeling, and kayaks and paddle boards were included. Facilities were excellent, and the food was delicious, especially breakfast. We’d recommend the place to anyone.

Loved my second stay at Resort Tava’e and would happily come back. The rooms are spacious and clean, with great aircon and bathrooms I’d rate 10/10. The resort has everything you need. Already looking forward to the next trip.

The kayak was great, and breakfast was wonderful. The location is beautiful, the room was lovely, and the service was excellent. The only issue was the SUP board, which was falling apart and barely usable.
