The location is handy for Higgins street and the shops, and the bed was okay. The towels were surprisingly nice, too. But this is an olllllddddd hotel, and the rooms feel substandard. Wi-Fi was patchy and sometimes absent, the water heater was apparently switched off one day, and there’s no lake view unless you peer through trees and telephone wires. Don’t count on much for around $100. There’s no pool, though I guess there used to be one. I’d skip the breakfast and walk five minutes to de la P. for good coffee, a danish, and simple breakfast options. I can’t recommend this hotel.

The room was moderately comfortable, and the location is good, but there are several things that could be better for the price. The bathroom felt damp and smelled bad, with no extractor fan, and there was no hairdryer. Breakfast was basic, the coffee was bad, and parking was limited. My room also didn’t have a Smart TV. It’s lacking in the details.

The breakfast was adequate, and the location is good. Still, the photos don’t match what you find in person. From a European perspective the hotel feels run down, so I’d say it’s fine for one night.

The location made it easy to get to restaurants and cafes, with La Poza beach just a block away. Our room was comfortable, everything was spotless, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, and the scrambled eggs were excellent.
