Hostal Ainil

They were so rude. We went to look at a room and got no further than that.

The service was nice, just what we expected.

It’s an okay place.

The house is beautiful and has a lot of charm, though it’s clearly been neglected and must have looked lovely in its day. The ceilings are coming down, some electrical outlets seem questionable, and the cleaning is only superficial, with grime in the corners and under furniture. The kitchen is overloaded with dishes that can’t be used because they’re too old or too dirty, which is a pity since the stove is quite good. The beds are fairly comfortable, but there’s hair and duvet feathers everywhere. A patched hole in the shower tray doesn’t hold the water, so it runs into the hallway; you can see it in the color of the towel we used to mop the floor. The price isn’t high, the house is well heated, and it’s not far from the center. None of the TVs work. Some windows are broken, and cold air comes through the others. The owner doesn’t respond or try to communicate.
