Parina Atacama Apart Hotel

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were polite and easy to deal with. It felt safe enough that we left the door open much of the day. Most places are a short walk away, with a market and bakery on the same block. This hotel near the centre of San Pedro de Atacama was really nice, and I’d stay here again.

We arrived pretty late, but the owner and caretaker were friendly and accommodating from then until we left. It’s a beautifully kept place, a little off the beaten path. Our smaller room was just right for a couple, and we didn’t need AC or much heat. The owner showed us around, and the loft rooms would suit a small family. Breakfast was delicious, relaxed, and just right. We never had trouble with hot water, unlike what I’d read about many other places.

Breakfast came to our room when we were around, and on early-start days the staff left breakfast bags at reception. They were amazingly helpful, and reception stayed open very long hours. For the money, it’s great value. The room was a decent size, very clean, and had an ensuite, air conditioning, mini fridge, and TV. It’s a 12-minute walk to the centre of Main Street, where there are lots of local shops for supplies and cakes.

The staff were so friendly. They even stopped me because I hadn’t told them how to get breakfast to me. It was nice to feel someone was looking out for me so far from home. The place is super clean and great value. You can still see lots of stars right outside your room, and Calle Caracoles downtown is about a ten-minute walk away. If a short walk in the sun before eating doesn’t bother you, it’s a great option.
